Gearbox Further Pokes at Borderlands 3 Announcement

Not long ago I wrote about all the hype that had built up for the next entry in the Borderlands franchise. I also focused on a photo that was tweeted by Gearbox a couple of days ago that indicated a possible announcement of Borderlands 3. Today Gearbox posted even more incriminating evidence that a Borderlands related announcement is coming!

Starting March 13th, after Gearbox’s (March 12th) announcement of their presence at the upcoming PAX: East convention, Gearbox's Twitter started posting photos that hinted to the games they will be announcing at PAX. With only a second photo being posted in that line of soon-to-be announced titles, we have what seems to be too obvious to be taken seriously hint:

Whether this is obvious on purpose- to tell fans “Yes, this is finally happening, we're announcing it” or its some sort of sick joke to tickle the excitement of their fans once more is still up in the air, but with a photo and caption like this one, its difficult to believe it could be the latter. Only time will tell if Borderlands 3 will be announced at PAX: East this year. As that day grows closer so does the amount of salivation in the mouths of thirsty Borderlands fans. My fingers are crossed.
